I began my career with my apprenticeship at West London Audi and spent around 7 years there before moving to VW for 2 years and subsequently Mercedes for a year. I was then working freelance for myself in various garages for a number of years. In 2010 I set-up Mechanics Mate. The business began as mobile mechanics but has developed and we now have a fully equipped garage & MOT centre as well.

On the mobile jobs you will wither see myself Steve or Adam Bevan one of my fully qualified mechanics. The business caters for all makes/models of vehicle and all repairs, but specialise in German cars as the team are fully trained on the German brands.

Audi Q5 Diagnostic Inspection

I explained in detail my problem with my Cecile and the diagnosis from the AA report over the phone to your customer service support on 09/05/19, I requested a Audi specialist as it was a ECU ignition problem and needed an Audi computer/decoder . I didn’t receive any notification email as advised I would,I chased this again 4 hours later to the call centre, once again explaining the whole problem. Specifically requesting an Audi specialist with the correct equipment, the mechanic arrived in a normal car and only a diagnostic computer, when I explained the situation he said he couldn’t help and was unaware of my information given to your customer centre, he said he wouldn’t of attendee if he had know as he knew he wouldn’t be able to do the job!! He didn’t have a simple battery charger or jump leads that I would of expected as basic tools ,something I had to look for myself in my home, he put his own battery on my car to be able to turn the ignition on, he did not do any diagnostic check .
I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of information from the customer service To the mechanic, also his lack of equipment to solve the problem saying his partner had the van with the proper equipment on another job!!! , very unprofessional .
He agreed with everything I complained about and told him I wanted a refund as it was a waste of time and money on both our parts.
My issues lies with clickmechanic aswell as the mechanic himself,
I therefore request a full refund please.
