Previously booked Maz in Sheffield and he was terrific so thought we would use click mechanic again as buying a used car especially an old one can be risky . Use an experienced mechanic to check it out so we don't buy a rusty bucket I thought .

Mechanic text me confirming 8:30 he then arrived at 9:05 I have the text message . He blamed traffic and said he had a slot of 8am to 10am . Don't confirm a specific time then ...

Arrived at 9:05 left at 9:30 to fill out forms until 11am . Sounds weird to me . Surely the looking at the car would be the main part of the inspection but turns out it's the admin

Raised a complaint through resolution centre and we went round in circles . He maintains he completed a 105 point check and road test within 30 minutes . I find this hard to believe and definitely wouldn't pay 78 quid for it . By my maths that means he checked 5.25 items per minute. Speedy . And a 10 minute road test is laughable .

Needless to say we bought the car ( 2003 yaris ) and engine light came on the same day we bought it . It's booked in the garage for tomorrow . Cracking work . Could have used the 78 quid I spent on Darren and just sent it straight to the garage . Waste of money and complete false advertising on click mechanics behalf . Happy with inspection as mechanic was able check the over a car on my behalf so I could make a decision whether to purchase the car. Mechanic was informative and knowledgeable, phoning me as soon as inspection was completed.

All work completed quickly. He was late, but he did call and explain he was waiting for the parts and traffic was unusually bad. Overall happy.

He explained to me a few things that will help me learn how to maintain car about oil so i know how to check it all etc the oil warning light had gone of when he arrived I had top up oil day so hoping that is problem solved not been out in car yet since visit shall be using it at weekend thankyou for prompt easy to use booking
