Hi Deena,
We can certainly understand your frustration that the vehicle is still not back on the road. However, we must clarify the facts of this booking for anyone reading.
This job was booked with the 'I am confident this work is required' option selected. This meant we were hired strictly as installers to fit a new clutch based on a third-party diagnosis you provided.
Had the full details of the vehicle’s symptoms, specifically the engine overheating, the car shutting off, and the fact that pumping the pedal allows it to go into gear been included in the booking, we would have advised from the start that a diagnostics was required instead of a parts replacement.
The primary cost of a clutch replacement is the intensive labour to remove the gearbox. Once Hayden accessed the parts, he found the original clutch was not excessively worn, yet it was excessively hot to the touch. These are undeniable signs of a deeper mechanical or hydraulic failure not a standard clutch failure. Since the gearbox was already removed and the labour already spent, it was only logical to proceed with fitting the new parts as you requested.
Click Mechanic has reviewed this case and agrees that we provided the best advice and followed the correct course of action. While we are disappointed with the 3-star Quality rating, we fulfilled the specific request we were hired for to a high standard. Citroen Berlingo Brake discs and pads replacement - front (both)
Removed rear wheels to inspect brakes. Rear pads almost new. Discs ok

Haydn turned up on time. Introduced himself and got to work. He assessed the job and decided some of the quoted work wasn't necessary and issued a refund. Front pads and discs were changed and all completed in a hour.
After the job was complete I notice a weird vibration, Haydn came back straight away without any hesitation to ensure there wasn't a problem, telling me to get in touch if I noticed it again. All in all I’m impressed and would recommend Haydn.
