Vehicle had first class review in the condition report and I went ahead and purchased the car BUT following delivery to my home I discovered that the aircon was not functioning although the review said it was working properly. Luckily for me the dealer paid for me to have the system re-gassed.
My faith in the report was diminished somewhat so I am keeping my fingers crossed that no other faults appear in the near future. It rather negates the whole point of having a pre-purchase inspection carried out.

This was a Category S Yeti 4x4 and I needed independent reassurance that the repairs were of a good professional quality and that this fairly rare car was going to be a good buy with no hidden problems. I was reassured that he has had a lot of experience of this type of car category.
He then rang again after the inspection to see if I needed any clarifications about his report and made a couple of important suggestions to resolve with the dealer before purchase. I now have peace of mind that this really is going to be a great value and safe purchase.
