The work seems to have been carried out to a good standard. Booked for a service and MOT but because the mechanic accepted to do the work on the bank holiday, the MOT could not be done (as the garage they use was closed). They said they were happy to do the service and we could do the MOT a different day. He then amended the price of the service to £108 and sent separate quote for MOT of £55 which equates to £163 (the original price I booked for was £130 total for MOT and service). He said he didn't know about this even though it clearly says on booking confirmation price includes service and MOT. He asked me to contact clicmechanic to resolve- this took several phone calls which was a pain. They agreed that once he had done MOT I could call them and they would adjust the cost so overall I still only pay £130. Texted him asking when the MOT could be done. Agreed the day and time (admittedly at short notice). Went home on my lunch break to be there to give him key. He calls 8 minutes before he was due to collect key/car telling me he was running late. Told me to call in another 20 minutes, which I did. He was only just packing up at previous customers house and would still have to drive to me. Agreed to cancel doing MOT that day could do on Friday (the other day he offered). Texted him suggesting times waited whole of one evening and the next working day hadn't heard from him so called clickmechanic and got them to cancel MOT and just charge for service. Took car somewhere else for MOT myself. His work standard seems very good so it's a shame he can't be a bit more organised. Read more

I would have appreciated a call from Dan to tell me that he would not be able to make time slot which was booked. In fact when I rang him to ask where he was, it was obvious that he would not have been able to finish the job in daylight so had to come the next day. Having said that, when he did arrive he was friendly and seems to have done a great job. Overall, highly recommended for convenience and value.
