Mitsubishi Outlander Attempt to carry out a forced regen as instructed however could not proceed due to soot accumulation above upper limit. Carried out further checks found no obvious sign as to why. Advise seeing a dpf specialist.

Marley was friendly, honest and tried to look into the problem with my DPF issue. We spoke a day before, so I could give him all the symptoms. On arrival, he performed diagnostics and provided me with as much information as possible and suggested I contact a DPF specialist, as he was unable to proceed further with a forced regen of the DPF. And herein lies the problem. I contacted click mechanic, because you offer a diagnostic on DPF, a regen service or a DPF clean. In my view, you should not have anything to do with DPF issues, as you could not provide me with a solution, other than contacting a DPF specialist.

Hi Michael, Thank you for your review, the issue we had when attempting to carry out the regen was the soot accumulation above upper limit meaning it was not safe to carry out the regen. The booking came threw as DPF REGEN however this was not possible to carry for the given reasons. Due to experience I suggested you go to a specialist as the DPF clean they perform is much more in-depth and more suited for this occasion. That said I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review I’d like to think you could see we done everything possible to make you as satisfied as possible with reducing the charge and giving as much information as possible to leave you in good stead to having this repaired.
