Peugeot 207 SW Diagnostic Inspection

Mechanic was friendly and knowledgable. However, I am still waiting on a quote to see how much it would cost to fix my car. I have chased on one occasion but am still waiting. If my car is a write off I urgently need to know as currently I have no transport and am disabled.

I did try to contact a few times previously to let you know how I was getting on but was having trouble trying to get through to you. I had been trying to get you the best quote possible as peugeot was coming back with some very high numbers for parts alone. Renault Clio Diagnostic Inspection

Adrian,was useless totally got the problem with my car wrong.Said was timing belts and head gasket.When actually the engine has had it.Needs a new engine.How a mechanic can get that wrong is beyond me.So,to sum it up.I'd say he has no idea what he is doing.Not sure can say he's a mechanic,stay well clear of him.

On first assessment of your engine I took away the timing cover to check to see if there was play in the belt and could see that the tensioner had lost tension and was hitting the cover itself. Causing the banging noise that was present. I then took off the oil cap and there was clear sign of milkshake (aka oil and coolant mixture) so I performed a coolant sniff test which concluded that assessment. I still have the test on the van that I'm happy to present to you. I apologise you feel this way and would be interested in investigating this matter further to check for evidence of bottom end knock.
