Volkswagen Passat Starter motor replacement

There has no analysis been done to what the fault was with the car. The mechanic turned up with the wrong part, then had to reschedule again for the next day with the apparently “correct part”My car just broke down again, a week after it has apparently been fixed!!! I which I had canceled the appointment and gone to a proper garage!!!

Hello there
You enquired for the starter motor (none stop/start) to be replaced. So I arrived with the correct part for the job and started to replace the starter motor, it was only then I noticed that the starter motor installed to your vehicle originally was a stop/start starter motor, which I informed you off and then placed the order for the new part which was fitted at no additional cost to yourself.
If you are having issues with the starter motor fitted then you are under 12 months warranty and I’m happy to replace the part again for another starter motor.
In regards to your comment about analysis I asked you at the start of the booking if it’s the starter motor you need replacing which you responded to with yes.
If you felt like you was unsure of what you needed then you can ask for a diagnostic inspection.

Adrian was very helpful and diagnosed the problem quickly. The problem turned out to be the air conditioning which was unfortunately it was beyond economic repair and he was very honest about this and didn't try to push me into getting expensive repairs done.
