Audi A4 Coolant leak inspection

I was expecting the mechanic to repair my car but instead he looked at the water pump for 30 mins then told me that it wasn't the water pump but the assembly around it ...
I was charged over £50 for this inspection,which I never wanted or asked for..
Then I receive another quote adding more parts and over £100 extra ?
Also adding a tool to remove the water pump ??? really!!
Well I'm afraid I'll not be using your services again and will not be recommending anyone ...
I feel I've been ripped of to the tune of £51.25 for a 30 minute inspection ..

Hi Alan I'm sorry that you feel that way way about the service. I was under the impression that your vehicle was needing a water pump as this is what was stated within the clickmechanic app, I pre ordered the parts and had them with me to carry out the job.. upon inspection I pointed out that your water pump was not leaking and infact it was the housing so this was a case of a missed diagnosis between yourself and clickmechanic, I then took the time to ring around and price the parts that you actually needed. I think that it is unfair that I should receive a bad review for a previous misdiagnosis, ideally you should have been booking an inspection for coolant loss.
I would recommend that should speak with the resolution centre @clickmechanic
