I asked the person who collected my vehicle to listen to the 'suspension knocking noise' whilst they drove the vehicle back to the garage and give me their opinion on this noise.

At no point did this person say that there would be an extra charge or cost for doing this and that this would be a formal diagnostic investigation.

The garage then rang me up to say the cost of the extra work to resolve the suspension knocking would be nearly £300. I declined the additional work and just informed them to carry out the already agreed work.

They then said that I would have to pay an additional cost of £60 for diagnosis. I disputed this additional cost, which was then escalated to the garage owner who said that the additional charge could not be waived and I would have to accept his by the clickmechanic email. Given they had my car I could not do anything else but accept the additional cost, which I felt I was blackmailed into.

Car was picked up in reasonable time and all work done as expected, book stamped and wheel nuts returned. Excellent communication by WhatsApp message and call. Video given of vehicle of work. Totally would recommend and friendly people.

He was very knowledgeable and advised me accordingly. He was helpful and explained to get back to the company if there are further issues and that you are available 24/7.
