Peugeot 308 SW Water pump replacement
WATER PUMP DIDNT FIX FAULT CUSTOMER DECLINED ALL OTHER WORK

Paid £223 through your service to have a new water pump fitted (which RAC diagnostics confirmed was the issue, with no other diagnostic faults) - On the fourth phone call from the garage they stated that hadn't fixed the fault, and they were going to run diagnostic testing, to which I agreed, but no estimate or total was discussed. Later I receieved an email from your service to say that I owed another £208, I rang the garage and they stated this was the cost of labour and the diagnostics. I felt pressured to pay this extra amount as I needed my car back. Overall I'm very unhappy with your service and theirs, as when this was booked, it was marketed as a mechanic would come and do the work at my address, and after a weeks wait all I had were offers from garages to take my car to.

Hi joe
You booked in your vehicle for a water pump with the rac diagnostics. When we stripped the water pump off we called you and said the water pump was fine. I spoke to you personally and said do you want us to fit the new pump. Your reply was yes. I also asked you if you would like us to do diagnostics to find the actual fault you also said yes. I said this would be a few hours to you on the phone and you agreed. Fortunately for us all our phone lines are recorded and it is on there very clearly you agreed to the work. I am more than happy to pass a copy of the telephone conversation on to you and click mechanic to prove this is the correct version of events.
I also fitted a auxiliary belt free of charge for you as the rac missed the damage on that as well as miss diagnosing your fault I thought that would be the least I could do for you. My advise to you in future when you take a vehicle to a garage for a repair always get the garage to do the diagnostics first this will save you a lot of time and money in the future. Took car away then quoted me over £1000 to change fuel pump. Said no. Only in for diagnostic check. No print out received no mention of the airbag light illuminated no codes of faults provided so that I can investigate further and maybe get cheaper quote so would I get a diagnostic check from a garage that keeps the codes a secret no so will not be using click mechanic again.

Hi Stuart please check your click app for the information you say we never supplied. You was advised of both faults over the telephone via our receptionist on the day it was here. Luckily we have our telephone lines recorded so we can send you proof of this if you require. Your main problem was the fuel metering part of your fuel pump that is no longer available so the whole pump would need to be supplied. If you were at all unsure you are more than welcome to call email or WhatsApp us and we would have guided you through step by step what your vehicle requires. I feel you have been very unfair in the review especially when we mover heaven and earth for our customers.
