So mark replaced my rear brake pads and discs on the rear of my work VW truck in January. About 3 months after they started squealing. I ignored it for a while but it got to the point where it was just embarrassing every time I had to brake! I booked in to my local garage last week for a brakes service and they phoned me up mid job and said that the rear pads was not the correct ones for my truck, the discs and pads was a budget brand and that the springs on the pads had all broken up. This resulted in the disc being left with a ridge around the outer circumference. Anyway £300 later and it’s been fixed. Watch out for this cowboy. Check receipts and make sure he’s not charging you for branded parts when he’s using budget parts instead!!!!! Read more
