The guys definitely knew what they were doing.

They arrived a bit early but made sure to call me beforehand to let me know about it, and when they arrived they told me what they'd do (engine check, then they easily spotted something so they jacked the car up)

After about a 10 minutes they called me up as they immediately found a number of problems, and gave me their thoughts and advice (realistically the car was a write off as it was a cheap car and would cost more than its worth to fix).

I made the call that I'd have to scrap it so they said they also knew a guy that would give me better rates than what online scrap dealers so I can just give them a call if I get to the stage of calling in a scrap dealer.
