How can we help?
Are the Mechanics Mobile?
ClickMechanic works with a nationwide network of both mobile mechanics and independent garages, so depending on your location and the type of repair or service needed, your booking may be handled by either.
🧰 So, Are They Mobile?
Many of the mechanics on our platform are mobile, which means they can come to your home, workplace, or another safe location to carry out the work. However, we also partner with local garages that can complete repairs in a workshop environment, especially for jobs that can’t be done at the roadside.
🛠️ How Does It Work?
When you place a booking, we send it to mobile mechanics and garages who cover your area. The job will be accepted by the first provider available who is suitable for the work.
If you have a preference, for example:
“I’d prefer a mobile mechanic to come to me,” or
“I want a garage that offers collection and delivery.”
—you can add a note to your booking, and we’ll do our best to match your request.
✍️ How to Request a Mobile Mechanic or Garage
You can include your preference during the booking process:
Visit ClickMechanic.com
Enter your vehicle registration and postcode, then click "Get My Instant Price"
Select the repair or service.
Click "Next Step"
Fill in your contact details.
Scroll to the bottom of the date and time selector.
Click on “Add a note for your mechanic”
Write your preference, e.g.
“Please assign a mobile mechanic if available”, or “Garage with collection preferred”
🔔 Your note is shared with the mechanics and garages on our network, and only those who can meet your request will accept the booking.
🔍 What Repairs Can a Mobile Mechanic Do?
Mobile mechanics can carry out a wide range of jobs, including:
Servicing
Brake replacements
Battery and starter motor issues
Diagnostics and inspections.
Some suspension repairs
However, more complex repairs may require a garage.

If a mobile mechanic accepts the booking, they’ll aim to complete the work at your location, provided it’s safe and suitable.
