What is an electrical fault diagnostic?
With the ever increasing reliance on electrically controlled functions and gadgets, batteries can quite frequently suffer from difficult to determine electrical faults. An electrical fault diagnostic can pinpoint the cause of the issue and whether a simple fix is required or whether further work and parts are required.
What are the typical symptoms of an electrical fault?
There are many symptoms of electrical faults, from equipment not working, to fuses constantly blowing and even burning smells.
What happens during an electrical fault diagnostic?
Due to the number of circuits that the mechanic will need to go through in turn, they can literally find the fault(s) straight away or it may take some time and may require certain items to be removed, especially trim parts!
- The mechanic will ensure the battery is fully charged
- The mechanic will disconnect the battery and insert a multi-tester in the circuit.
- Mechanic will then go through the circuit of the failing or faulty item to determine the root cause.
Please note that there are cases where there is a fault that can be detected, but the mechanic is unable to rectify and you may be referred to a dealership or specialist for its resolution.

FAQ’s
Can I supply my own parts?
No, we will not fit customer supplied parts unless they are a brand new item, purchased from a dealership with the receipt as proof of purchase. There is no flexibility over this due to insurance and warranty issues.
