Cannot rate highly enough, very smooth with formula 1 speed! I see Peter and his colleague even replaced a 10mm bolt on the battery box, even though it had nothing directly to do with the job they were doing - now that's customer service!

I had a clutch replacement, I was happy with that. However, after they fitted the clutch they called me to say there was a knocking noise coming from one of the front wheels. They blamed it on the backing plate on one of the brake disks. After testing the car myself I heard this knocking noise and was quite concerned as I’d never heard it before. On closer inspection it turned out that they had removed both front wheels to drop the gearbox, but didn’t tighten any of the 10 nuts back up when they put them back on. In fact I managed to undo every one by hand. I drive 25 miles down the A46 to get home. If I hadn’t checked this god only knows what would have happened. I called the mechanic and told him, and all he said was “I don’t know how that could have happened”. No apology, didn’t seem bothered at all. I paid over £700 for this work. Didn’t get a receipt either. Overall I’m happy with the clutch, but disappointed at the neglect. Read more

Wheels torqued as per manufacturer requirements using calibrated equipment vehicle was also test driven several times and inspected prior to leaving our depot roadtested for around 20miles
Vehicle was dropped to open yard on a trading estate and keys posted through letter box

I was then offered a job working for Excalibur Engineering restoring Classic Aston Martin vehicles and was lucky enough to work on several rare examples including some that were used in Bond Films.
At the age of 18 I moved to Great Yarmouth where I worked for Specialist in Design building and fabricating racecars for the Dragstrip working under the legendry Jon Hogarth as my mentor.
3 Years in the Territorial army RLC added to the list of skills in both mechanical and electrical engineering
After leaving SID I set-up my own business called RPP Racing at this point based in Lowestoft.
I traded here for a number of years before moving to Ipswich and still traded as RPP Racing and in 2013
I moved to Northamptonshire where I settled and setup again initially mobile only but after a few months of trading Venture Performance was formed mainly specialising in classic and performance in 2017 we Changed the name of the main garage side of the business to A6 Recovery and Salvage allowing us a bigger spectrum and platform to work from and allowing us to oull in more contract and fleet operational work and support, our main areas of work now are Accident Recovery and Salvage, Roadside Repairs and Vehicle Transport Logistical support and we now offer fully mobile and Garage based services from our workshop base at Sharnbrook Bedfordshire. When not busy with our main lines of work our team specialise in Classic vehicle restoration services, Fabrication of Race and custom vehicle builds and General repairs and servicing on both modern and classic vehicles.
The business caters for all makes and models of cars and will tackle all types of repairs.
