I moved onto a Renault & IVECO truck franchise for 10 years in order to gain more experience and from there I set-up Mobile Mechanics Chesham and the business has been going well to date. The business caters for all makes models of car and vans and even tackle HGVs and all repairs are undertaken..

Well had I met my mechanic Paul on the day. I might be able to rate him.but no another mechanic turned up without being notified. Bit alarming as repair was for my daughters car.she didn't recognise this man from the photo ID I'd given her as I wasn't present at that time.
When I did arrive .although this mechanic was pleasant I had to ask for his name as was shocked it wasn't Paul who was booked, made a point that no one contacted me of the change.but also felt this mechanic was not as experienced to deal with this job .taking advice from Paul over the phone.

I’m sorry that you were not 100% happy with the outcome of Marks visit. I did personally try to call you the day before attending to advise that Mark would be the mechanic attending, also to check the incorrect registration number given. I can assure you that Mark did not need guidance over the phone, the reason that he had to contact me is because additional labour time was required to continue with more in-depth diagnostics. Mark was simply following company procedures. As per our conversation at the time it is a misconception that all faults can be diagnosed simply by plugging in a diagnostics computer. As part of any electrical diagnosis it is important to check for wiring issues and associated fuses, unfortunately one of the related fuses was located in an area hard to reach. Mark was capable of carrying out these checks but further to my discussion with you, you did not authorise addition labour costs. If I had been the mechanic attending on the day then I would have followed the same procedures. Read more
