They charge me £50 extra for the change of reg lights and a reverse off side light.
The most annoying thing was how long it took to get the car back. The driver picked the car up at 1:30pm which was earlier than The agreed slot but return the car at 6:00pm I had work that I had to cancel do to not being able to use the car in time:-( I wasn’t aware that the mechanic was coming from 12 miles each way. During traffic I understand that it takes long but when I book the service and mot I wasn’t expecting for it to take that long I have used click mechanic before but am not sure if I’ll use it again as I am using the cars for business so time is money lost for me.

Hi Victor, we do understand your frustration although we must stress that an MOT is a compulsory minimum 45 minute test time, and the car also had a full service which would take also a couple of hours, alas we do understand why you found it difficult, because of this we do apologise and hope your next experience is better. It felt like a scam and that the mechanic was begging to be bartered with. I needed the MOT complete so didn't have much room to wiggle. They quoted £40 to change a headlight (something that is free in places like Halfords) and then couldn't drop the price fast enough when I questioned it.

I won't be coming back.

The parts were fitted with no issues. The seats and interior on my car are horrific. There’s milkshake stains, white hard powder stuck on the seats. Glitter everywhere in the car. Mileage is 1000 more than what it was before they picked the car up.

I had my old mechanic, outside of London, to look at my car in advance of this service and was told I needed a new clutch. After booking through click mechanic, the mechanic Whatsapped me to tell me I notably needed a clutch but also a new fly wheel and a new drive shift. The work was going to cost me twice the amount I originally thought. This information was not communicated to me clearly, just through a few badly spelt messages on WhatsApp. When I asked how much the work would cost, I felt like the mechanic was haggling with me. I was confused and concerned for the safety of my car.

After speaking to various other mechanics, I learned that my car doesn't have one of the parts they were going to charge me for.
Fortunately I told them I knew this, and they sheepishly said they would replace only the clutch and drive shift. I am still unconvinced as to whether the latter was necessary and paid £80 more than I expected because of it. I asked to have my old parts returned to me with the vehicle to see what the damage looked like, which they conveniently forgot to do.

My car clutch does seem to be fixed, hence the slightly higher quality rating. But the stress of trying to avoid being scammed was not worth it!

Communication left a lot to be desired. Car returned making an additional engine noise that was not there prior to work being carried out and was not reported prior to return, despite being subject to a full service. Service counter not reset and milometer no longer functioning on return. Could not be less satisfied.

Awful job done. They have left my car in a worse condition than it was before they worked on it.

They were supposed to change the brake pads, service the car and do the MOT and I was quoted £246.82 by clickmechanic

However, after Mr. Montaghi's driver picked up the car, Mr. Montaghi rang to inform me that the car failed MOT due to some faulty rubbers in the front wheels and was charged £130 to fix the problem, bringing my invoice to £376 which I paid for.

On returning my car, it was making such horrible noise when the brake was applied. I rang Mr. Montaghi to complain and was informed that they only changed the brake pads and didn't change the brake disc and that's why the noise was being heard when I applied the brakes.
I asked him if the problem will be fixed once the brake disc is changed and he said yes. He then promised to send his driver to pick up the car the next day, but noone came.

I rang him the third day and he apologised and promised to send the driver to collect the car the following day. The driver tcame and ook the car away after which I received a call from Mr. Montaghi who informed me that the brake disc will cost another £140, £80 for the disc and £60 for labour. I informed him that this problem only originated from them fixing the brakes and told him I will pay £50 for labour which he agreed to. He rang me later to confirm that the problem had been fixed and the horrible noise has stopped. I transferred £120. To Mr. Montaghi's account.

Unfortunately, I was not at home when the car was returned. However, when I drove it, the noise was even worse. I rang Mr. Montaghi to inform him and complained that I was unhappy with his work and that my car had been left in a worse condition to how it was before on Friday the 10th of July. Mr. Montaghi insisted me that they had changed the brake disc and pads and he didn't know why the noise was still there. Then he informed me that the garage doesn't open on Saturdays and the driver was unavailable to come on Friday, however, he will come on Monday the 13th of July. I did not see the driver nor hear from Mr. Montaghi.

I have paid £496 in total fto Mr. Montaghi through bank transfer and rather than fix the car, Mr. Montaghi and his garage have damaged it and left it in a very bad condition. I will very much appreciate it if this issue can be resolved immediately. Thank you

I could be more unhappy with the service by Click Mechanic from start to finish.

Firstly, at the beginning of June I received a text from Click Mechanic stating “Your MOT expires in 29 days, book now to avoid getting caught out…..” So I did book a MOT through Click Mechanic.

Unbeknown to me the government had granted exemptions because of Covid - the following is from the government site “Vehicle owners will be granted a 6-month exemption from MOT testing, enabling them to continue to travel to work where this absolutely cannot be done from home, or shop for necessities”.

So I did not need a MOT for at least 3 months!
I can't believe Click Mechanic did not know about these exemptions and therefore see it as a blatant lie to get money.


My car was then picked up as arranged. After a couple of hours I received a phone call saying that my car had failed and that it would cost just short of £400. I could not afford that so asked for the car to be returned and then 2 hours later received an email saying the repairs needed to pass an MOT would cost £170. A different price.

Suspicions aroused I took the car to a local garage and showed the failed certificate and they then looked and repaired the so-called ‘failures’ for £40. I then took the car to a different place to have MOT and it passed no problems.

People reading this please make up their own minds about this service. I personally think it was a shameless way to do business and will keep passing the word not to use this site.

I feel like I've been scammed.
