Audi A6 Saloon Engine mount replacement - left (of engine bay)

Little did i know when i accepted this quote from Clickmechanic that they do not qualify from their pool of mechanics weather the parts that are required to undertake the necessary works are new or salvaged. In my case the part (left engine mount) was salvaged and took 2 weeks to arrive from the donor vehicle.
When the car was returned, i noticed that the oil tray below the engine was missing, this part had to be removed to undertake the work. The mechanic in question professed that it was not there when i dropped it off - complete rubbish.
If Clickmechanic are going to provide quotes they should do so on a like for like basis and not deceive any customers.
Clickmechanic reimbursed the mechanic for this work before it had been complete and charged me accordingly. The car at this time was still in the garage in pieces as the sourced part was incorrect, the car remained on their ramp for another week. Clickmechanic customer services were informed accordingly and did nothing to resolve the situation. Would i use this service again, i don't think so.

It said on the internet site it would take 3 to 4 hours at my home but the day they was coming they rung to say they had to take the car away that was Friday and it wasnt looked at until Monday afternoon and it was me that had to keep ringing to find anything out

Unfortunately your vehicle was not the only vehicle we had in our garage to repair so as courtesy we collected (recovered no charge). On arrival Mrs downs advised a "friend" had half stripped battery airunits and various other parts to diagnose a faulty clutch bearing (without even taking gearbox out).
We still took on your work despite another wannabe mechanics efforts.
We stripped your car down , 4x4 so prop shaft, gearbox transfer box, driveshafts, steering etc etc (a long process).
We then concluded your vehicle was wrongly diagnosed as clutch bearing but was 3 piece clutch , flywheel was needed, and subsequently called YOU to advise, also advised KIA were a nightmare for parts as we.
d experienced on a previously worked on kia clutch & flywheel.
You asked for price we advised approx 1200 to 1300 supplied and fitted based on no other issues arising during repair. You advised this was more than you could afford at the time so we agreed 2 hours labour and return recovery.
You then called few days later to advise us to go ahead as you had arranged funds and which we did. KIA are notorious for not having parts on the shelf and it took few days to gather parts as you were advised.
Yes you are correct we did not call you every hour with updates as we usually only supply updates when we have any so our sincere apologies for that.
During the repair we are obliged to "bleed" pressurise your clutch and brake system with new oil and found your bleed niple to have a fault, we made numerous attempts to fit universal bleed niple but all failed so called to advise you of KIA being the only supplier @ £70 to which we would not charge extra for part or fitting but Dave Downs advised humberance to this charge but agreed to its replacement saying he should not have to pay for a part that's broken on his vehicle during repair, any mechanic will advise you snapped bolts etc are not the garages responsibility and must be paid for, although we had , as coutesy, replaced the odd snapped bolt and would've replaced if universal bleed niple had worked and included in price if not £70.
Dave downs agreed to this replacement abruptly and we proceeded.
The next day, before vehicle even been returned to yourselves and having an opportunity to view our quality of work or listen to our apology for time taken due to parts being unavailable, you left a unbelievably untrue unjust and unfair review on clickmechanic making comment that 8days were taken, yes including parts delivery, your confirming go ahead etc, believe us when we say we needed the ramp your car was taking up.
So to finalise, your opinions were unfounded as youd not even had car returned but passed judgement in review and seems had taken offence at having to pay for a part to complete repair and left above review.
We did , after your underpaying, as point of coutesy actually return the car to your home address as we are a professional reliable & affordable repairer.
Hopefully you are happy with your repair and you are using the car now and reconfirm your 1 year clutch & flywheel manufactures guarantee.

chris was great ,will not book clickmechanic again told they would only have car 4 to 5 hours but took 2 days took car away 32 miles to garage then 32 miles back and I don't know why but half a tank of petrol used the car does 40 miles to the gallon-------not very pleased

WE DID TAKE CAR AWAY FOR REPAIRS AS WE WANTED TO PROVIDE A PROFESSIONAL REPAIR AND FELT THE REPAIR YOU REQUESTED WAS NOT SOMETHING COULD BE COMPLETED SAFELY BY OUR MOBILE MECHANIC AND TOOK TO OUR GARAGE TO TEST WHAT YOU ADVISED US THAT SEAT HAD SUGGESTED. WE COULD NOT FIND FAULT WITH THE CAR EXCEPT HIGH CLUTCH PEDAL. TO CLARIFY THIS YOUR CAR NEEDED TEST DRIVING AND TO CONFIRM REPAIR DONE PERFECTLY WE ROAD TEST.
WE WOULD NOT AND DO NOT INTEND USING FUEL UNECESSARILY AND APOLOGIES FOR THIS PROFUSELY

The mechanic was friendly but was not aware that the vehicle was a motorhome, so the job could not be carried out at home, which was the main reason for choosing click mechanic, it had to go to the garage in Barnsley. Bearing in mind that it was a risk driving a vehicle with a leaking radiator, this was not an ideal solution. I am happy with the work they carried out.
