Saadi arrived on time and was perfectly polite and courteous.

That said, he arrived with a lady in his car, who sat in the passenger seat while he was doing the diagnosis, suggesting he had no intention to do anything more than diagnose the problem, take the fee and leave.

He sprayed a bit if WD40 in the lock, wiggled the key around and in under 5 mins and very little investigation, immediately diagnosed a problem with the barrel. He then said he was going to a breakers yard and would look for a spare part, and that I should do the same online. I asked if he would be able to help me resolve the issue that day, to which he said he would try.

I then tried calling him multiple times but after a couple of rings I was sent to voicemail. I left a message for him to call me back but have had no further correspondence in the last 10 hours, other than an email suggesting he had ‘fixed’ the problem.

It unfortunately seemed more like he just wanted to make a quick buck on the diagnosis and be on his way, leaving me with an unresolved, unworking car. Really disappointing. Read more
