Honda CRX Car Won't Start Inspection

the problem was diagnosed to the distributor. I was not convinced because the distributor was only a few years old. Managed to get the car started and drove to my local Honda dealer where the problem was diagnosed to a fuel pump relay. This was replaced and subsequently the car has performed without fault.
Whilst I appreciate that this type of issue is difficult I did not feel that the diagnosis moved me forward and may have resulted in me buying an expensive part which was not necessary and would not have solved the problem.

The booking was between 12.00 & 14.00pm and i got there at 13.00pm. When i got to the house i found the customer very polite. The customer turned the key and the car started first time. I checked over for any visible faults and all i could find was the positive battery clamp was loose which I tightened up. I explained to the customer that the distributor is a common fault with these cars but I also noted that it had been replaced recently so i doubt it would be that at fault. As I was about to leave the customer turned the key again and the car wouldnt start. I checked for fuel pressure at the fuel rail, fuel was present. I removed the spark plugs to see what they were like and they looked ok. I checked for a spark at the plug and there was no spark present. I removed the dizzy cap to have a look for any faults and there was nothing visible. I explained to the customer that there is no spark to the plugs and the fault pointed to the distributor/coil assy. I tried to price one up and there was nothing listed with my supplier. I explained to the customer that the unit would be expensive and suggested going online to the owners clubs and possibly ebay to locate a replacement.
