Mark came to do the job without a full toolkit and borrowed spanners from m neighbour. After refitting the ABS pump a week later he left the job with the windscreen washer reservoir leaking and as far as I am concerned one part unfinished and despite several phone calls he has not had the decency to contact me and make arrangements to sort the problem out.

I had said on the booking form that I thought the wheel bearing was broken, the door stays were broke / missing and there was a creaking noise from the suspension.
The mechanic arrived on time after ringing me to confirm my address. Having assisting him manually lift my car so he could get his jack underneath he proceeded to check the driver’s side front wheel at which point he ruled out a problem with the wheel bearing. He then had a look at the passenger side wheel and after a few minutes decided that it was the suspension that was causing the problems. I said I wasn’t convinced as the noise happen when turn to the left so he took it for a drive and came back saying that he couldn’t hear a noise and was sure it was the suspension.
I insisted that there was a noise and we agreed that I should drive. After a short while the noise became apparent so we returned home. After again lifting the car whilst he pushed the jack under the car he proceeded to check the passenger side wheel where he finally agreed that it was a broken wheel bearing.
I asked him about the door stay to which he didn’t seem interested in and just said I should look on ebay for one.
Finally I asked him for a price and when the work could be carried out. He said it would cost about £288 and he could do it during the week.
I tentatively agreed to have the work done however the following day I managed to check the ClickMechanic website to discover the quoted price on the website was just £201…needless to say I cancelled and will be taking my car to my local garage.

To be honest when I spend £149 on a full service at the very least I expect the oil level to be topped up to full and the windscreen washer fluid to be done, which they were not. I'm now left wondering what else has not been done
