After learning all the tricks of the trade at BMW I then went onto Land Rover for 2 years further enhancing my skills. Being an entrepreneurial person I broke out by my self and became a mobile mechanic at the beginning of 2014 and haven't looked back since.

The mechanic was polite with me on the phone, although the answers to my questions felt a bit vague. The report appeared to be comprehensive. However, when I went to buy the van, the seller told me a different story. The seller said that the mechanic arrived, told the seller he’d only need 10 mins, barely inspected the vehicle, did a 5 min test drive and that was pretty much it. The seller stated that a different mechanic from a different company had inspected the vehicle a few weeks prior and they had taken an hour and been very thorough. The seller was expecting click-mechanic’s inspection to be similar to this, and was amazed at how short/cursory the inspection was. The seller therefore thought he should let me know about it. Sorry to hear, however its the standard inspection you booked. The seller stated a mechanic from clickmechanic came previously and did a premium inspection in 30 minutes! But again the inspection was done to a high standard like always.

Maz missed a number of issue on a pre-purchase inspection.

ClickMechanic were fine with this and the result is I now have a car with a number of issues which I have to resolve.

Very poor outcome and I would strongly recommend against using this mechanic as the same may happen to you.

The pre-inspection was more than worthless as I’ve paid for a service which was not fully supplied.

Dear Click Mechanic Customer Support,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the pre-purchase inspection service provided by Click Mechanic on March 23, 2024. I booked a pre-purchase inspection with the expectation that it would include a thorough examination of the vehicle, a road test, and a detailed report, as outlined in your service description and terms and conditions.

However, the experience I had with the mechanic, named Maz, fell far short of these expectations. Maz arrived at the agreed-upon location but failed to introduce himself, did not provide any form of identification, and did not communicate with me as the paying customer.
I was unaware of his presence until the vehicle seller informed me that the inspection was already underway.

Furthermore, Maz demonstrated unprofessional behavior by refusing to engage with me, stating that it was not part of his job to communicate with the customer. He neglected to perform basic checks, such as opening the car bonnet, despite the presence of visible issues such as a pool of water in the passenger seat. His dismissive attitude and lack of thoroughness were deeply concerning and unacceptable.

In addition, Maz spent a mere 5-6 minutes on the inspection before hastily concluding that a service was required without providing any substantive feedback or detailed inspection report. This level of service is wholly inadequate considering the significant fee of £102 that I paid for the inspection.

Furthermore, I received a highly unprofessional and rude message from Maz following the inspection, in which he criticized my manners without provocation. His message, “Learn Manners Mate. The report write-up takes up to an hour. Let alone the rest of the inspection,” was disrespectful and inappropriate. In addition to this In his latest communication, Maz has resorted to making personal attacks and using offensive language. He accused me of lying and even invoked religious sentiments, which I find deeply offensive and unacceptable. Maz’s behavior is not only unprofessional but also crosses the line into harassment and discrimination.

I strongly urge Click Mechanic to address the following issues:

1. Lack of professionalism and communication demonstrated by the mechanic, Maz.
2. Failure to adhere to the agreed-upon service description and terms and conditions, including the provision of a comprehensive inspection and report.
3. Inadequate inspection duration and oversight, resulting in a superficial assessment of the vehicle’s condition.
4. Disregard for customer satisfaction and concerns during the inspection process.
5. Inappropriate and disrespectful communication with the customer following the inspection.

I request that Click Mechanic thoroughly investigate this matter and take appropriate action to rectify the situation. This may include providing a refund for the substandard service rendered and implementing measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. As a paying customer, I expect to receive the level of service and professionalism that was promised by Click Mechanic.

Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide a timely response to address my concerns. I look forward to a satisfactory resolution to this matter.

Maz carried out a pre-purchase inspection on a used vehicle, having never owned a hybrid before there were a few things I noticed during the test drive that I though I needed a second ( more qualified) opinion on. The inspection that was carried out was very thorough, we talked through my initial concerns and Maz was able to answer all my questions thoroughly, giving real world examples from his extensive experience which put my mind at ease with regards to the purchase. I can’t fault the service and will definitely consider click mechanic for any future needs.

Maz was fantastic!! He went to inspect the car a day earlier than I originally booked to make sure the car is up to scratch before I make a long journey from Kent to Rotherham. Very friendly, informative and thorough. Highly recommend him and he has given me the utmost peace of mind ahead of my journey to go collect my new Range Rover Velar tomorrow.
