Simon “fixed” the problem but when I took my car out it wasn’t right so I rang him back and he said it sounds like another problem and I’d have to pay extra. When I have already paid nearly £60 for a diagnosis before the repair I expect the diagnosis to be correct, not to have loads of extra costs added on afterwards!
I was also told while he was doing the repair that I needed an additional part that hadn’t been diagnosed and had to pay an extra £50! Not at all happy with the service!
(Simon was not the mechanic that diagnosed the problem)

As you said you had the fault diagnosed by someone else. Click said it was to fit brake shoes. This is what you told them. When I did the job I found someone had already tried to fix it and left the parts tie wrapped on (brake parts) I told you I would also fix that part. When I test drove it I noticed the brake drum was ovaled probably happened when the brakes failed. This in my opinion is down to miss diagnosis from the previous mechanic.

BMW 1 Series Pre-purchase Inspection

Simon was great. I spoke to him the day before he did the Pre Purchase Vehicle Inspection to tell him why I wanted the car checked. The car is a Cat D and I wanted peace mind that the damage caused had been repaired well and that the car was safe. Simon called me straight away following the inspection with the good news that he was happy with what he had seen and that he would send me a full report later that day. Very happy with the service and the communication, so would definitely recommend Simon.

It was only a little job which is always hard to find professionals to do these things, so not only to have the job completed, but to also be able to pick a time to suit you and for them to come to your home, means no problems trying to get time off work, getting people to ferry you to a garage is a god send. Thank you, very happy with the service given and the ease of using this site.
